TALBOT ORIENTAL RUGS
Welcome to the 'Wonder House' of Antique Rugs
During the years John Lockwood Kipling was its director, the locals called the old Lahore Museum the "Ajaib Gher" (Wonder House). The museum offered visitors glimpses on treasures of every description from across British India and beyond. THE WONDER HOUSE from Talbot Oriental Rugs is our collection of exquisite period carpets from Persia, the Ottoman Empire, the Caucasus and beyond, dating from 1920 to the early eighteenth century. Every piece in the Wonder House is a treasure, a repository of history, and a thing that is sure to inspire your sense of wonder and possibility.
